Chargers’ Sebastian Joseph-Day Claims He Was Sexually Assaulted By TSA Employees
Los Angeles Chargers defensive lineman Sebastian Joseph-Day — a former Tremendous Bowl champion — claims he was sexually assaulted by TSA personnel on Friday.
The 28-year-old, who signed with the Chargers in 2022 after spending his first three seasons within the NFL with the Rams, mentioned the incident all occurred at John Wayne Airport in Orange County, Calif.
He claims as he was going via safety checkpoints, an agent touched him inappropriately. He alleges that when he requested the employee to cease — he was then “swarmed” by three extra TSA members.
“I am all for folks doing their job properly,” he wrote in a sequence of statements on his Twitter web page Friday morning. “However it was extraordinarily pointless and dehumanizing. I journey so much, for private and work causes. I’ve by no means skilled something like that @JohnWayneAir.”
Joseph-Day says he instantly went to file a criticism … however accused officers of “making me leap via hoops to take action.”
“I am not sharing this on Twitter for sympathy. I am sharing this so this group of gentleman and employees aren’t allowed to do that ever once more to a different human being.”
TSA launched an announcement to Fox Information on the matter on Sunday … saying it was conscious of the allegations and is investigating the claims.
“We’re trying into the matter to find out if our procedures have been adopted and whether or not any corrective motion must be taken,” officers mentioned.
“TSA stays dedicated to treating each traveler with dignity and respect whereas finishing up its safety screening duties.”
Joseph-Day was picked by the Rams within the 2018 NFL Draft … and has began 54 video games in his profession, logging eight sacks and 193 complete tackles.
