Second Day at the Golf Driving Range – Working on My Golf Swing

Today I headed out for the second time to the golf driving range. Last time, I used a 7 iron, which I could hit the ball with, but I was having trouble connecting sometimes. This time, I made it easier for myself and brought my wedge. I hit the ball 95% of the time pretty well. I only missed one swing, which is a far cry from the 20 or so missed swings with my 7 iron.
Using my wedge made me feel a lot more confident, especially since there were people within view watching me hit. I’m not sure if I’m ready to hit with a driver yet, but I do feel better about giving it a try.

I tried to go later in the day around 8 PM to miss the heat, but the 90-degree weather was unforgiving, so I only hit 40 balls instead of the 100 balls like last time. I video-recorded myself hitting the ball so I can send it to my swing coach for his critique. Hopefully, I will get better soon so I can start uploading videos of me crushing it on this blog.
Anyway, I do have to give myself some credit for being consistent and not giving up after the first try. They say it takes seven days to create a new habit, so I have five more days at the driving range to go. Here’s to sticking with it and improving my golf swing!
