Tyre Nichols‘ household is suing over his deadly beating by the hands of Memphis police … drawing parallels with what occurred to Emmett Until.
In accordance with a brand new federal lawsuit, obtained by TMZ, Tyre’s household compares his loss of life to the notorious 1955 killing of Emmett, saying Tyre, like Until, suffered a beating from the “fingers of a modern-day lynch mob.”

The Nichols household goes after the Metropolis of Memphis, Police Chief Cerelyn Davis and the officers concerned in Tyre’s brutal beating.
The swimsuit claims Tyre’s loss of life was the “direct and foreseeable product of the unconstitutional insurance policies, practices, customs, and deliberate indifference” from Memphis and its police chief.
As you understand … Tyre died in January, three days after a brutal beating on the hand of 5 Memphis cops, all of whom have been fired and charged with second-degree homicide.
Tyre’s household can also be suing a sixth officer who was fired however not charged, plus three members of the Memphis Hearth Division who responded to the scene however allegedly failed to render support to Tyre.
The swimsuit seeks a jury trial and damages, although there is not any particular greenback quantity.
