Jets’ Morgan Barron takes skate to face in Recreation 1 vs. Golden Knights

Winnipeg Jets middle Morgan Barron had a giant scare whereas he was making his NHL playoff debut on Tuesday evening.

Barron took a skate to the face throughout a goalmouth scramble within the first interval of Recreation 1 of the first-round Western Convention playoff sequence towards the Vegas Golden Knights.

Vegas goaltender Laurent Brossoit was diving again to freeze the puck after stopping Barron’s preliminary shot, and his skate got here up whereas Barron was being pushed to the ice by the Golden Knights’ Chandler Stephenson.

“I used to be attempting to determine if the puck went in as a result of it was fairly shut,” Barron mentioned. “I noticed the skate coming. It was an unfortunate play. The primary thought was that I may see out of the (proper) eye was the principle factor.”
