John Fetterman to return to Senate, lead listening to on meals stamps

WASHINGTON–Sen. John Fetterman, a Pennsylvania Democrat who was hospitalized for six weeks with despair, is marking his return to the Senate subsequent week by chairing a listening to on meals stamps.

“The information is out! I am very excited to chair my first subcommittee listening to subsequent week,” he stated Wednesday night on Twitter.

The listening to, which focuses on the nation’s largest meals help packages, shall be held at 3:30 p.m. Wednesday within the Russell Senate Workplace Constructing and comes as Fetterman returns to the chamber after a two-month absence.

“We’ll be speaking about defending SNAP, preventing for PA’s farmers within the Farm Invoice, and rather more. Hope you will tune in,” he stated in a tweet.

When the Senate reconvenes Monday after a two-week recess, it should mark Fetterman’s first day again since Feb. 15. That is when he checked himself into Walter Reed Nationwide Navy Medical Heart, the place his medical despair and listening to loss was handled for six weeks.
